We wanted to get a drone and add some drawing skills to it so you can move the drone to make a drawing. So we had to attach some drawing equipment to it. And that worked out wich we did not expected because it's a really small drone and we where concernt about adding waight. To have more controle on what you are drawing with the drone we made a framwork with wires attached to the drone with a Y, X. Mamiching a small machine like this is fun to do because it's fun to do ofcourse but it also gives a rather different picture than you thought. So in this way you are controling the machine and make it move how you want to. But there is always a surprice fact on what it will turn out. You will make things that you cant do by yourself and prethink about.

I really liked making a drawing machine and see it come to life. At first I made a machine out of a cappucinofoamer, dishwasherbrush and some marbles, to keep the weight. This machine did not work that well. It wasn't really stabile and had the tendency to fall on it's side. On the other side, it moved into circles, which I liked. Also I thought the overall character of the machine was nice. So I continued with that idea and started to improve my first design. I replaced the dishwasherbrush, for a sponge, since this makes more contact with the floor. Also I placed a balloon, this way the machine walks in a constant rhythm, step by step. The outcome of the machine was really cheesy, so I decided to overdo it a little bit.

Drawing Drone Machine
