This week I tried lithography. This is a way of printing bases on the principle that water and oil repel each other. After polishing a specific type of stone you draw on it with oil chalk. After this you put to stone with drawing in a bath of chemicals. The chemical make the stone absorb the oil. After preparing the stone some more it is ready for printing. It's a fast way of printing but it takes a lot of preparing. The prints turned out pretty well. I really like this technique because it is the only way of reproducing chalk-drawings. It still really has the feeling of chalk, you feel like you will smear the chalk if you touch it but off course it's just ink.
