A brush that you can use to aply gold on a object, which Man Ray placed between two plexiglass plates. Au poil is another word for ‘perfection’ in french. But ‘a poil’ also means ‘naked’ where ‘poil’ is a translation for ‘hair’. This improved ready-made was made in 1971. The artwork in Boijmans van Beuningen is one piece of fifty.
