QUESTIONS
Any picture that fits under the title “ the moment I knew what I wanted to do”
Looking back that was probably when I was a kid. But it's always easy to connect the dots afterwards.
What do you make?
During the process I always like to play with having control and coincidences.
Sometimes people forget
about the beautiful (but small) things in life.
I like the thought of reminding them with my products.
What is your topic of interest? Explain a past/current topic or what you wish to explore?
Shift of awareness, which can be relevant for people who’ve
experienced traumatic events like war. (PROJECT SHIFT 1.0)
Meditation, triggered by relaxing colors or moving patterns. During the fast-paced
lives we lead, it is important to unwind and connect with ourselves.
Synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory leads
to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory. For example, to me;
Monday is red and a piano is pastel.
What is your medium?
Thermochromatic paint, material that is heat resistant, wire,
electronic circuit, control device.

SHIFT 2.0
TRIAL & ERROR
I made this drawing in Python. Then I used the CNC miller to make the
pattern into the woods. After that I placed the copper wire into the piece
and filled it up with Albastine. This material is getting hot, but it's not
conductive. Once it's dry I painted the surface. I wanted to use transparent
paint on top, so I expected this painting to appear when it gets hot. Unfortunately
none of this happend. Instead a layers of blue and pink appear.
