Design for adaption, suzanne and I choose to adopt the open knit machine. [1]
Starting with the first weeks of the project we try to based the concept on a knitting machine where we didn’t know what the expectations was of this knitting machine. The open knit [1] machine what made by a couple of guys as a DIY project. At the instructubels [2] standing a explanation of how to build a open knit machine.
First we went to the normal knitting machine at the fabric station where we can make everything what we want but not open source. With the open knit we can make everything open source but not what we want. There is a big gab between the machine and the user . Between the programmer and the audients to use the machine.
