First Start
At first I started to think in concepts. After the individual talks I came to the conclusion that we weren't supposed to think in concepts. Instead we should just DO en TRY different things. This is something I didn't really understand from the beginning. Here some idea's I had.
Concepts
3d Printing (New Skill)
I had never 3D printed before and because we were going to Unfold, I thought it would be smart to 3D print. I made a model of a crown in 3d and then I printed it.
First Visit
During our first visit at UNFOLD we tried to see what the options were, Noa and I formed a team and brainstormed about what we could add to the material. A few things we thought about adding to the ceramics:
- Sugar
- Salt
- Wood
- Sand
- Metal
- Powdered Sugar
- Colored Decoration Sand
Second Visit
Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there due to the storm that day and trains that weren't riding. Noa and Colin were able to go and they executed it.

Tests Melting Plastics
I believe that just creating can bring unexpected and interesting things. For me, I dont't believe that a certain end result is the only end result. The thing I found most interesting was the way plastic melts. I’ve melted different plastics and although the end result was interesting, I think that the process itself was more interesting.
I’m now filming toys and other plastics melt. Then I want to document it melting and make it into a video.
