The laser cut plan was designed to be cut on an 4 mm piece of wood, but we used a 3 mm one.

So when somebody would put the plane together the pieces would not completely fit.

Next to that I made a useless manual it says things like (‘click piece one of the wing to piece one and after

that connect piece one mainboard to one till you hear a click’)

When you finally finished putting the plane together and want to make it fly,

the plane would fall apart. In the end, we were able to create a very frustrating product with this group.

We worked in a group of 5 and started with the cards we choose. First we wanted to make a diy folding manual to fold a t-shirt in an airplane. We played with the subject stressful and frustrating and thought to make something unusable. After a brainstorm we came with a better idea to take a diy airplane a change some important things. So the airplane was designed to cut 4mm wood, we took 3mm wood. In the manual we gave everything number 1, instead of a logical order and the explanation text is very hard if you compare it what you see.

In class we tested this with 2 persons and a timer to make it more stressfull. They couldn't fix it in 3 minutes. So we learned that it's very easy to make things stressfull and unworkable if you change some small things in the design.
