The moon is a celestial planet that makes you wonder and dazzle. It dances with our planet earth and the sun to create together an optical illusion. The moon as a metaphor for something we all know and have seen but at the same time almost no one of us people ever experienced it for real. We know all kind of stuff about it out of books and other sources but almost no one ever came closer to this celestial body then the widely 400000 km it stands away from us. We generally see this little white dot lightened up in our sky at night-time. We are able to watch it by telescopes but the number of people who came closer by is countable on five hands and only twelve of them ever really walked on it. The moon is fairly mystical and in addition floating, if not drowning in crazy theories and ideas about its manifestation of creation. It is something people keep talking and wondering about. It’s appearance and spot in the sky changes every time you take a look at it, even if you just look for a minute to the other side, you keep watching.  The moon is fully integrate in cultures, religions, astrology and beliefs.

In ancient Roman religion and myth, Luna is the divine embodiment of the Moon (Latin luna, English lunar)
 +

 +
The most common idea says the moon took shape after a heavenly body hit the earth in its early days. Our still steamy hot liquate earth merged with this planet and the detritus launched into space cluttered together by gravity to form our moon. But there are a lot of eyebrow raising coincidences to believe different stories. The distance between the Moon and Earth happens for example to be just right for the creation of the perfect circumstances for the development and inhabitant for complex life on Earth. If its position were closer by the tides would be crazily high, if it stood further away the earth would start spinning. And think about solar eclipses, they are actually a near miracle, they don't happen anywhere else in the solar system. This preformed dance by the Moon, Sun and Earth is an elegant but most unlikely one. The only reason they can occur is because of two factors. The Moon is 1/400th part the size of the Sun, and the Moon is capable of standing at a position 1/400th part of the distance between the Earth and the Sun. At times when the sun rises at dawn as far north as it can, the Moon sets as far south as is possible. Similarly, when the Sun rises at its extreme southern position, the Moon sets at its most northerly. The same is true of Sunset and Moonrise. Hardly anyone even realize that this takes place, let alone appreciably understand how incredible it is. There is no mathematical rule or law of physics that says this should happen. It is simply a consequence of the Moon's orbit and positioning and yet as a random chance event it seems virtually miraculous. And there is more, the time the moon needs to circle around it’s own axis is almost the exact same as it takes to gyrate around the earth. This causes the moon always showing her front side (near-side) to us, which occupies 59% of its surface.  The other 41% is never shown to us. And there are more rarities; its size and mass (the moon is way to light) are odd for being a natural satellite, there are some clues to assume the moon even may be hollow. When looking to the relative shallow creators and comparing woofs width and depth is fairly eyebrow raising. By some people insights all this only can be declared if the moon has some sort of metal shield and is put there in place precisely by other beings to watch us closely, underneath accommodate a group of aliens. This should also be the reason why we never returned to the moon again and why men like Neil Armstrong never talk openly about their adventurous moon experience. There would be too much to tell, they don't want us to know. Other people persuade the moon is just a hologram, only there to fool and entertain us.

It is also believed that the moon, like the other planets, exerts a considerable degree of influence on human beings. It has been observed that people suffering from mental ailments invariably have their passions and emotional feelings affected during full moon days. The word 'lunatic' derived from the word 'lunar' is most significant and indicates very clearly the influence of the moon on human life. Some people, suffering from various forms of illness invariably find their sickness aggravated during such periods. Researchers have found that certain phases of the moon not only affect humans and animals, but also influence plant life and other elements. Low-tides and high-tides are a direct result of the overpowering influence of the moon. In ancient times people planned by watching the sky closely which moment was the best for planting seeds.

Astrology wise there is also a lot to tell about the moon. As far as the data go back the moon has been given certain EIGENSCHAPPEN that can be related to its illusional visions and earned a fair spot in religions. There are even beliefs who claim the moon as a Goddess is the base for all religions. Many Neopagan authors (series of religious beliefs in nature) say that there was an original Great Goddess in prehistoric cultures which was linked to the moon and formed the basis of later religions, the Great Goddess figure is highly speculative and not a proven concept. It may be noted that most of the oldest civilizations had male lunar deities and it was only later cultures, the classical ones most people are familiar with, that featured strong female moon goddesses. But a lot of coincidences which may indicate the ‘Great Goddess’ beliefs of the Neopagan’ isn’t a crazy one at all. As a bit more context for what I’m telling now, here some explanation. There are good indicates the moon was first seen as the Goddess of the Sky. With her three phases: New Moon, Full Moon, and Old Moon she represembled Maiden, Mother and Crone. “As the New Moon or Spring she was a girl; as the Full Moon or Summer she was woman; as the Old Moon or Winter she was hag.” Names who have been given to each of the phases are; Luna (above the earth), Diana (on the earth), and Proserpine (under the earth): like heaven, earth and hell. This “Great Triple Moon-goddess”, was the tri-form goddess of birth, love, and death. Obviously, the best example of a triunity from the male version is the Christian “Trinity”: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Another example is the Hindu Trimurti, the three aspects of the ultimate unknowable reality, Brahman – Brahma (creator), Vishnu (preserver), and Shiva (destroyer).

'''''Maya''''' The traditional Mayas generally assume the moon to be female, and the moon's phases are accordingly conceived as the stages of a woman's life. But there is this Maya story who tells about two hero twin brothers who finally transformed into sun and moon, signaling the beginning of a new age. Implying the recognition of a male moon, in a departure from the main Maya tradition.

'''''Egyptian''''' Moon God Khonsu, his name means "traveller", this relates to the nightly travel of the moon across the sky. Along with Thoth he marked the passage of time.
 +

 +
'''''Islamitic''''' Long before Muhammad was born, the Kaba (the cube in Mekka, which holds a 'stone' (meteorite) from heaven/paradise) was the home of many idols. One of these idols was the moon god. He was considered to be the most powerful of the gods of the Arabs. He had several names. He was often called “al ilah” or “the god.” Now a days mostly known as  Allah. The use of a lunar calendar and the prevalence of crescent moon imagery in Islam is said to be the result of this origination.
 +
Allah as Moon-God is a claim put forth by some critics of Islam that the Islamic name for God, Allah, derives from a pagan Moon god in local Arabic mythology. The implication is that "Allah" is a different God from the Judeo-Christian deity and that Muslims are worshipping a "false god". Muslim scholars cite the 37th verse of the Sura Fussilat as proof against the Moon-God claim:[12]

"And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship"
 +
But it must be said it's curious that precisely the moon is planted on their flags.

'''''Buddhism''''' The moon plays a big role in all special days and celebrations. The most significant celebration happens every May on the night of the full moon, when Buddhist all over the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha which all happened on this full moon day.

'''''Hinduism''''' Chandra, born in the Ocean of Milk, is a Sanskrit name meaning "illustrious." In Hindu mythology, Chandra is the god of the moon. In Hindu astrology, the moon is considered a planet, and it's considered to be one of the best planets to be born under as it promises wealth and happiness.
 +

 +
'''''Judaism''''' One of the words for "moon" or “month” is Rosh Chodesh (new moon), renewal. The traditional Jewish blessing over the waxing moon says to the moon: “You are a crown of glory for those who are borne in the womb, for they, like you, are destined to be renewed.” Jewish tradition sees the cycles of the moon as a metaphor for the renewal of life,
 +
each Jewish month is beginning on the new moon (Rosh Chodesh) and ending when the moon is dark.

 +

 +
There is also another explanation for the three faces given to the moon Goddess, some say it has to do with the moon moving in three ways in relation to the Zodiac. But of course, there is not one clear beginning. All stories departure from a somewhat different time and in different directions. Which does not make one story truer than the other.

''Most of the moon exists out of molten rock. When molten rock begins to cool, crystals form. The first crystals who began to form on the moon where olivine and pyroxene, which are denser than the molten magma so they sink to the bottom of this magma ocean. As cooling and crystallization continues, the important chemicals for forming olivine and pyroxene begin to run out, and a different mineral crystallizes – anorthite (plagioclase feldspar). This mineral is less dense than the magma, and can float to the surface where it forms a crust. The color of anorthite varies from a hell opal blueish to a dusty grey purple. In addition, from a further point of view this blends together to form a light purple haze. On top of this crust lays down a dusty layer which is only a couple of inches deep. The powdery dirt is formed by micrometeorite impacts which pulverize local rocks into fine particles. The energy from these collisions melts the dirt into vapor that cools and condenses on soil particles, coating them in a glassy shell. This is also know as Lunar Soil: soft like snow, fine as flour but rough as sandpaper; yet strangely abrasive, extremely clingy and electrically charged.''
 +

 +
So why do we see the moon as grey or white?
 +

 +
The composition of lunar soil varies significantly depending on whether one is considering the lunar highlands (which appear lighter) or the maria (lunar "seas"), which are dark. The lunar highlands are primarily anorthositic rock, which is characterized by a blend of 90% plagioclase feldspar (a class of silicate minerals) with a 10% metallic component like iron or magnesium. The feldspar component is made up of calcium, aluminum, silicon, and oxygen. These rocks are reflective and create moonlight when they reflect the Sun's light back to the nighttime Earth.
 +

 +
The lunar maria, the darker portion of the Moon (the seas), is made of basaltic minerals from ancient volcanic eruptions that occurred between 3.5 and 3 billion years ago. These minerals flowed into nearside basins (the far side of the Moon has barely any maria) and cooled. Compared to terrestrial basalts, they have a higher viscosity and greater iron content. In general, basalts are relatively rich in magnesium and calcium oxides and have lower levels of silicon dioxide.

HYPERREALITY
 +

 +
'HyperReality is a technological capability like nanotechnology, human cloning and artificial intelligence. Like them, it does not as yet exist in the sense of being clearly demonstrable and publicly available. Like them, it is maturing in laboratories where the question "if" has been replaced by the question "when?" and like them, the implications of its appearance as a basic infrastructure technology are profound and merit careful consideration.' - Nobuyoshi Terashima
 +

 +
What comes after the Internet? Imagine a world where it is difficult to tell if the person standing next to you is real or a virtual reality, and whether they have human intelligence or artificial intelligence; a world where people can appear to be anything they want to be. HyperReality makes this possible.
 +
HyperReality offers a window into the world of the future, an interface between the natural and artificial. Nobuyoshi Terashima led the team that developed the prototype for HyperReality at Japan's ATT laboratories. John Tiffin studied they way HyperReality would create a new communications paradigm. Together with a stellar list of contributors from around the globe who are engaged in researching different aspects of HyperReality, they offer the first account of this extraordinary technology and its implications.

‘Making a conscious experience is at once the most familiair and the most mysterious aspect of our lives.’

Myth is the oldest and richest form of fiction. It preforms an essential function: ' What myth communicates is not truth but reality; truth is always about something - reality is what truth is about'.

Important inspiration:

Jean Baudrillard - Hyperreality

Joseph Campbell - The Power of Myth

Hindu mythology - The concept of Lila

Most of the time we live in a tiny pocket of normality we wrap around us like a security blanket.

We turn our backs on the mysterious universe that waits outside.

From time to time we may sneak a peak with our imagination, or venture out through fantasy or expanded awareness.

The Moon is the light of this realm - the world of shadow and night - easy to lose our way in.

In the right circumstances, the Moon inspires and enchants. It holds out the promise that all you imagine can be yours.

The Moon guides you to the unknown so you can allow the unusual into your life.

320px-Lilastip.jpg 320px-Lilastip.jpg 320px-Lilastip.jpg

Maya The traditional Mayas generally assume the moon to be female, and the moon's phases are accordingly conceived as the stages of a woman's life. But there is this Maya story who tells about two hero twin brothers who finally transformed into sun and moon, signaling the beginning of a new age. Implying the recognition of a male moon, in a departure from the main Maya tradition.

Egyptian Moon God Khonsu, his name means "traveller", this relates to the nightly travel of the moon across the sky. Along with Thoth he marked the passage of time.

Islamitic Long before Muhammad was born, the Kaba (the cube in Mekka, which holds a 'stone' (meteorite) from heaven/paradise) was the home of many idols. Muslim scholars cite the 37th verse of the Sura Fussilat as proof against the Moon-God claim:[12] وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ "And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship" But it must be said it's curious that precisely the moon is planted on their flags.

Buddhism The moon plays a big role in all special days and celebrations. The most significant celebration happens every May on the night of the full moon, when Buddhist all over the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha which all happened on this full moon day.

Hinduism Chandra, born in the Ocean of Milk, is a Sanskrit name meaning "illustrious." In Hindu mythology, Chandra is the god of the moon. In Hindu astrology, the moon is considered a planet, and it's considered to be one of the best planets to be born under as it promises wealth and happiness.

Judaism One of the words for "moon" or “month” is Rosh Chodesh (new moon), renewal. The traditional Jewish blessing over the waxing moon says to the moon: “You are a crown of glory for those who are borne in the womb, for they, like you, are destined to be renewed.” Jewish tradition sees the cycles of the moon as a metaphor for the renewal of life, each Jewish month is beginning on the new moon (Rosh Chodesh) and ending when the moon is dark.

There is also another explanation for the three faces given to the moon Goddess, some say it has to do with the moon moving in three ways in relation to the Zodiac. But of course, there is not one clear beginning. All stories departure from a somewhat different time and in different directions. Which does not make one story truer than the other.

Most of the moon exists out of molten rock. This is also know as Lunar Soil: soft like snow, fine as flour but rough as sandpaper; yet strangely abrasive, extremely clingy and electrically charged.

So why do we see the moon as grey or white?

The composition of lunar soil varies significantly depending on whether one is considering the lunar highlands (which appear lighter) or the maria (lunar "seas"), which are dark. The lunar highlands are primarily anorthositic rock, which is characterized by a blend of 90% plagioclase feldspar (a class of silicate minerals) with a 10% metallic component like iron or magnesium. The feldspar component is made up of calcium, aluminum, silicon, and oxygen. These rocks are reflective and create moonlight when they reflect the Sun's light back to the nighttime Earth.

The moon smells like burnt gunpowder.

HYPERREALITY as more and more to come

HYPERREALITY has nothing to do with reality anymore

HYPERREALITY only referes to itself

HYPERREALITY comes following the internet

HYPERREALITY becomes human

HYPERREALITY is everything you want (it) to be

HYPERREALITY

'HyperReality is a technological capability like nanotechnology, human cloning and artificial intelligence. Like them, it does not as yet exist in the sense of being clearly demonstrable and publicly available. Like them, it is maturing in laboratories where the question "if" has been replaced by the question "when?" and like them, the implications of its appearance as a basic infrastructure technology are profound and merit careful consideration.' - Nobuyoshi Terashima

What comes after the Internet? Imagine a world where it is difficult to tell if the person standing next to you is real or a virtual reality, and whether they have human intelligence or artificial intelligence; a world where people can appear to be anything they want to be. HyperReality makes this possible.

VENUS ALL OVER

V e n u s

Salvador_Dali_Boijmans.jpeg

S a l v a d o r D a l i - Venus de Milo aux Tiroirs (1936) 1964

Germaans? nu Aziatisch of Marokkaans.

829px-Proces6.jpg
