CHANGEABLE FASHION
With this project I want to focus on the fast fashion industry, I believe that if we want to change this industry into a slow fashion industry we have to start with the individual. With all the digital media we have today our interests are changing faster and faster. I want to make a garment that can keep up with the constantly changing individual. By creating a garment from which you can change the textures, by vacuum drawing the fabric of a garment over a texture. People will be able to buy new textures every season, but keep the garment as a changeable canvas for more seasons. Mainly I want to give a way a part of the design process to the people, so they will develop an emotional value with the garment. I hope people will embrace their own creativity en start making their own textures and shapes for the garment. Not only is this garment durable in the way that you can use it for more fashion seasons, but it is also focused on the fact that new technolgies like 3D printing are becoming more accessible for people every day. In a few years people will be able to 3D print their own textures and shapes for the garment at home.
