CSV file
Comma-Separated Values.
Export from Excel or database or create a Comma-Separated file in textedit.
Name the fields in the first line.
Indesign
Open new file.
Start designing.
Use paragraph styles.
Set ‘placeholder” text with the field names between.<< >>
Data Merge
Open the Data Merge panel.
(Indesign> Menu items>Window>Utilities> Data merge>
In submenu in the Data Merge panel select >Data Source.
Choose the CSV file.
As preview is thicket off, the content off the CSV file will show in the design.
Create Merged File
In submenu in the Data Merge panel select >Create Merged File.
Set the options en hit the ok button.
Now there is an new file Created with your design and with the content of the CSV File.
