Mirage manual
Mirage is the application you use for the Epson P5000 inkjet printers. We have one for Glossy and one for Matte
Upload your file to the Mac.
If you use Airdrop, read the yellow sticker. Your file will be sent to the folder Downloads. If you use a USB, use the connector in front of you. Never take out the red software key that looks like a USB!
- Always use FLAT documents like JPG, a unlayerd TIFF or PDF/X a:2001. Both CMYK or RGB.
- Always put your LUSTER and GLOSS with the printable side down!
- Do not forget to set both GUIDES in the printers drawer. NOTE: 230 grams Matte paper is also only one side printable: the brightest side.
- Drag your files to the APPLET, Luster A4, Luster A3+ or Luster A2 on the desktop. If using GLOSS, change the paper from Luster to Gloss 260 in the top left corner menu
- Check in MIRAGE if the paper size setting is the same as the paper you put in the drawer.
- If you see a yellow warning triangle, click on it. If your image has all white on each border and you want to print on an exact size (100%), you can ignore the triangle. If you are okay that the print will crop a few millimeters of your image, ignore the sign. You always have to cut your print if you do not want white borders.
- If the screen does not show the whole picture, click on CROP > RESET.
- You will find this function on the second tab on the left.
- Quit Mirage after each print job!
- You can put multiple images on one sheet of paper. Choose “Minimal Waste” from the menu. If the picture is selected, it shows a blue border. All pictures can be set to a certain width or length at the same time. Set the “Gap” from zero to 1 cm for easier cutting. Right click, or CTRL click on the selected picture gives you possibility to delete or copy.
