CSV file
[edit]Comma-Separated Values.
Export from Excel or database or create a Comma-Separated file in textedit.
Name the fields in the first line.
Indesign
[edit]Open new file.
Start designing.
Use paragraph styles.
Set ‘placeholder” text with the field names between.<< >>
Data Merge
[edit]Open the Data Merge panel.
(Indesign> Menu items>Window>Utilities> Data merge>
In submenu in the Data Merge panel select >Data Source.
Choose the CSV file.
As preview is thicket off, the content off the CSV file will show in the design.
Create Merged File
[edit]In submenu in the Data Merge panel select >Create Merged File.
Set the options en hit the ok button.
Now there is an new file Created with your design and with the content of the CSV File.
