http://stuff2233.club:9001/p/RPB-hackthon-Feb2016

Broad Aims

  • define deliverables (goals) for hackthon
  • assemble a core team
  • plan a strategy

Deliverables (brainstrom)

  • help guide to NL (possible BE,LX)
    • the guide would answer question such as where to ask for different help, how the asylum process works here, what dangers to look out for, etc
    • it would help to know the laws and gaining an understanding of their rights
    • translated in the version languages
  • Translation to Tigrinya (Eritrean)
    • ?how important is it? Eritreans tend to have a good knowledge of English, since it is one of the country's languages?)
  • Automate the layout workflow, so that the creation of new versions can be made easier.
    • (research on current Web-to-print methods in RPB; Weasyprint possibilities)

Collaborators

  • legal activists
  • designers
  • refugees
  • translators

  • tweaking layout
  • producing the layout from web-to-print
  • need to produce the pdf

Format works. It can be slight improved

What can we make this into something that can join and learn from?
